The opening day
of this program has been characterzied by the attendance of the school's headmasters whose help has lied in preparing us the students's list to whom our main intention and goal are addressed, the access program's memberes who will teach these students,the center's dirctor who, in fact, has offered to hugly help by giving us the classes in which we will give the lessons, the students who have been chosen to benefit from this project and also their mothers who have accompanied them. this day has been fell into three chief axes. First, the center's dirctor has talked about the necessity to such program and their a fundamental role in helping solve many problems concerning the reality of teaching in morocco and also participating in decrerasing the rate of dropping out among the primary school's students, espacially in such areas. He has also praised and hailed the efforts and the sacrifies we are doing. He then gave the floore to me to talk them about what are the reasons behind this program. i explained to them that the official bureau of english language in morocco whose dirctor is a very good person called Ruth i mean u, and MEARN organnization have gave us this opportunity to do such project, and i talked them about our strategy in teaching, i mean the subjects from which they will benefit, and i addressed my talk to their mothers to not let their children be abesnt and to check from time to timt if they really come to to the center or not. I then gave the talk to headmasters to senstive their students about the importance of this program.that is, they must consider their comming to this center as part of their studies, and not to be absent or indifferent. Third, we invited the students to have some drinks and cakes.
The steps we have taken while preparing for this program.
First, i went to the delegation to have the approval of the deputy who in lieu of faciltating the processes of this project by giving us the classes in which we will teach these children , he made things very complicated and demoralized me, but i didnt care about his a complexe way in seeing things. Second,i arranged a meeting with the school's headmasters so that to give us the students with whom we will work, they, however, have not had confidence in what i explained to them, they, later on, have accepted the idea and helped me. Third, i went to the center's dirctor, who gave us the classes to teach in, to tell him about our idea, he warmly welcomed it and helped us. Fouth, i called my colleagues and told them about the beginning of program, they got surprised,becuase they thought that we will not do any thing since the deputy had not helped us. remark: i use the pronoun ME because i find my self doing eveyting and ,without nominiting my self, responsable for this program.
the adopted criteria in choosing these students
we have ,in this project, a strategy which aims helping the students who have many difficlties in their studies.first, the students whose marks are far below the avearge such as the students who get 2, 3, 4.second, the students whose social conditions are very deteriorated and fragil.third, the students who live in a chanty town and they dont find no one to help them in doing their homework.fouth, the students who show their willingness to benefit from this program.
